The Third Place Books reading event was a big success, with authors reading from their work and a panel discussion on writing memoir, telling secrets, both family and cultural. Laura Foreman, author of Calling Forth led the event. Readers included: Mary Matsuda Gruenwald, author of The Last Dance in the Searchlight; Janet McLain Smith, author of the poem, For Children Who Lost Fathers at Sea; Margaret Combs, author of Cracker Jacks; and Meredith Bailey, author of Great Expectations.
